The federal government’s coronavirus tracing app COVIDSafe is available for download from your phone’s app store.
The COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly evolving, and outbreak investigations are ongoing.
Dr Sheetal Sachdeva B.D.S. (Dental Surgeon) is encouraging everyone to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Here’s what you can do:
- Wash your hands with soap and water. Wash them for 20 seconds, and help young children do the same. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Viruses that cause colds can enter your body this way and make you sick
- Practise social distancing. Stay away from people who are sick. Sick people can spread viruses through close contact with others.
If you have symptoms such as difficulty breathing or experiencing cold or flu symptoms, arrange a test by calling your doctor or contact the Coronavirus Health Information Hotline on 1800 020 080.
- Sore throat
- Fatigue, and
- Shortness of breath
